Vanilla Blueberry Butter Jam

Warm vanilla undertones and the sweet-tart flavor of fresh blueberries combine to create a delicious vanilla blueberry butter jam. It's ideal for adding a fruity twist to your desserts or spreading on toast in the morning.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped out

Instructions:

In a large saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest

Add the scraped vanilla bean seeds into the mixture

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency

Stir occasionally to prevent sticking

Remove the vanilla bean and discard it

Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving a little space at the top, and seal the jars tightly

Allow the jam to cool at room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator

Enjoy your homemade Vanilla Blueberry Butter Jam on toast, pancakes, or as a topping for desserts!
